National security is threatened when we do not secure our borders. In Rochester, we have one of the most active regions for illegal alien arrests on the Northern US Border (per a NY Times report). We have seen drug rings, attempted murders, brutal assaults and every crime in between committed by illegal aliens that have not only been deported but in many cases deported multiple times. On Christmas Eve 2015, one of our local families had their lives forever changed by a deported illegal alien. Efrain Lopez-Conteras crashed while drunk into the vehicle of a Pastor and his teenage daughter leaving them with serious life altering injuries. This must stop by increasing border security, better use of surveillance technology and more thorough screening. The security of our families is a priority.
